Alternative Doctors: Be Watchful. Be Discerning.

At the outset recognize that I am not writing this from a “most wellness physicians who do not abide by conventional allopathic medical practices are quacks” perspective. Exactly the opposite. I keep away from allopathic medical practitioners like a virus. Given that I have been looking for a nutritional explanation to a physical crisis for six years now I have witnessed a lot of non-traditional wellness practitioners and have discovered a troubling inclination. And it is not a positive one.

When you enter an alternative doctor’s office you come into their creation. They have their own method of executing things. In the original exam the wellness physician informs you that for him to identify your dilema properly you need tests. The non-traditional wellness doctor will order up a enormous range of tests, which you disburse money for and he profits from, so that he can formulate his analysis. The challenge is that you do not know precisely how pertinent all these tests are. Urine tests, blood tests, scans, etc., can effortlessly run over a thousand dollars. Be careful. Be selective.

Since I have been through this before I now find out about the charges of all these tests and then inquire of the medical practitioner to recommend the most critical tests he requires for half the total price. If wellness physician says he needs them all, I am out. I think, if the physician cannot operate within my finances, he is almost certainly going to upsell me all through the process.

You have gone into their own private world where they dictate totally. They dictate the customers and they rule the support team. There are seldom any other wellness physicians around to endorse their say-so. They have their own systems, they KNOW they are accurate, and they can effortlessly bully you with their medical school wisdom.  However, it IS your body. Do not just permit them to bowl over you.

After the analysis of your situation treatment usually entails nutritional supplements.  Many wellness doctors have their own brands to exploit profit margins. I cannot criticize a wellness practitioner for wanting to make a dollar on nutritional supplements, but countless alternative doctors will think nothing of loading you up with 20 or more pills per day! That is off the scale OUTRAGEOUS! They are aware that unwarranted nutrients will just move right through their patrons and generate no damage. Seriously, do you have to recommend the whole kitchen sink?! It is expensive and extremely arduous to consume all those pills day after day. And obviously they will maintain that their vitamins are the top of the line, contain only the purest pharmaceutical grade element, and that is the rationale they are so expensive. Just be careful. Be selective.

As with medical tests, I inquire of the doctor what are the four most important nutrients he is advising and I buy those when I exit the office. Then I go home and research all the nutritional products I did not get to determine if they truly relate to my ailment or whether the alternative wellness doctor is just dosing me with a blanket assortment of nutrients. Prepared with that knowledge I then obtain extra nutritional supplements or not. It is way too painless, upon exiting the alternative doctor’s checkout counter, to just say “I will take it” and take all that they hurl at you. Do not allow that!

Finally, alternative doctors can heal you. You just have to lace your route through the maze they have created to add to their own financial standing. A few show more avarice than others and all warrant a hefty income. Just be careful. Be selective.
